TANYA WELK has had an interior and architectural design/construction company for 20+ years, with her forte being “mini-mansions" and built-in custom design applications.
One of her specialties is creating one’s back yard into a “Comfortable Indoor/Outdoor Home”… There is nothing she can’t design. From a closet to a mansion, she gives it her 100% attention.
She always gets right down in the trenches with her workers! Among her commercial design projects have been the Sunkist Building in Los Angeles, the offices of TV composer Mike Post and Mary Carole McDonnell, Executive Vice President of Raycom Media.
Tanya was staging when staging wasn’t in. Tanya is an expert with her “use what you have” method.
Tanya is also known for her huge, “in-up-to-her-elbows” Southern California parties, backyard weddings and fundraising dinners—all larger-than-life, just like her personality.
She learned her flamboyant culinary style from her Italian grandmother, to whom she’s dedicated her new cookbook, What Grandma Taught Me. Grandma also taught her never to forget her down-to-earth family roots.
Like millions of women today, Tanya’s
deeply involved in the lives of caring for her parents, her 5 children
and 6 grandchildren.
